Innovation and impact

The theme Industrial AI: your catalyst for high performance set the tone for a high-energy day at IFS Connect UK & Ireland 2025 with the Vox Centre in Birmingham buzzing as industry leaders, customers and tech innovators came together to explore how AI and digital transformation are driving next-level performance across sectors.

The day began with a keynote address from Mark Moffat, Global CEO of IFS, who set a forward-thinking tone for the event. Mark used his session to underscore the company’s bold ambition of becoming the leading provider of industrial enterprise software by 2029, with AI playing a central role in that journey. His message resonated strongly with attendees, highlighting how intelligent automation and data-driven decision-making are reshaping enterprise performance across sectors. One of the headline moments came from Jake Humphrey, well-known broadcaster and host of the High Performance Podcast. With a full agenda of breakout sessions, panel discussions and expert showcases, a real highlight for many was the chance to explore upcoming developments and future plans across the IFS ecosystem. Sessions spotlighted how evolving technologies are being used to address the real-world challenges organisations face today – particularly in fast-moving, regulated environments like energy, construction, and manufacturing.

Community, conversation, and a touch of mini golf

The experience kicked off a day earlier with a fun and meaningful pre-event CSR activity on the evening of 22nd April. This event saw attendees teaming up to design and build mini-golf holes using packaged food items. After some friendly competition—and a few trivia rounds—everything used in the challenge was donated to a local food bank. It was a brilliant way to start the conference on a feel-good note, blending teamwork, creativity, and community impact.

And throughout the main event, the energy never dipped. The exhibition floor was a hive of activity, filled with live demos, partner showcases, and impromptu discussions. Whether you were there to explore the latest in industrial AI, connect with peers, or simply get inspired, the day delivered on all fronts.

Platned proud to partner

As a Silver Sponsor, Platned was proud to be part of this event. We had some great conversations with customers, peers and tech partners about how tailored digital solutions and industry-specific innovations are helping organisations bridge the gap between operational efficiency and strategic transformation.

It was particularly rewarding to see how businesses are now viewing enterprise technology not just as a back-end system, but as a true enabler of growth – especially with the added boost of AI and data-driven decision making.
