We do this by providing comprehensive solutions and IT consultancy to help them maximise their investment and achieve their business objectives.

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking two experienced and results-driven Business Development Managers to lead market expansion and revenue generation for the UK and USA region.

Role Overview:

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving new business acquisition, building a strong sales pipeline, and converting qualified opportunities into long-term customer relationships. Working closely with marketing, pre-sales, and delivery teams, this role plays a critical part in positioning Platned as a trusted enterprise solutions partner.

This position is ideal for a proactive sales professional with experience in B2B enterprise software, ERP solutions, or IT services, who is motivated by targets, relationship building, and strategic growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Own the full sales lifecycle—from prospecting and qualification to proposal, negotiation, and deal closure.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline aligned with revenue targets and growth strategy.
  • Develop trusted relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in prospective and existing client organisations.
  • Collaborate with marketing to execute demand-generation initiatives, campaigns, and events.
  • Work closely with pre-sales and solution teams to design value-driven proposals and presentations.
  • Lead client meetings, product demonstrations, and commercial discussions.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and contracts in line with company guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM (Pipedrive) and provide regular pipeline forecasts.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to refine sales strategy.
  • Contribute to account growth strategies, including cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
  • Represent Platned professionally in all client interactions and industry engagements.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Marketing, or a related discipline (MBA is an advantage).
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, enterprise sales, or IT/ERP solution sales.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets in a B2B environment.
  • Experience selling enterprise software, ERP solutions (IFS preferred), or IT services is highly desirable.
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building capability.
  • Confident communicator with strong presentation and proposal-writing skills in English.
  • Experience using CRM tools and sales forecasting methodologies.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working with international teams.
