Platned Sports Day 2026 was not just an event; it was a 3-day gathering of energy, camaraderie and just the right amount of competitive fire. From indoors to outdoors, the momentum built steadily towards a grand finale, with the ever-popular cricket taking centre stage.

The action began at the Platned Sri Lanka office with a new addition to the line-up: the billiards tournament. It was a brilliant way to set the tone. The sporting spirit continued at Homer Stadium, Malabe with badminton matches. The true crescendo came at the grand finale at the Angampitiya Ground, Kotte. Under cloudy skies and roaring cheers, cricket teams battled it out in a thrilling display of skill and determination. Of course, no sports day would be complete without a little tugging and tossing. Tug of war delivered possibly the loudest and most spirited moments.

Beyond the scores and standings, what lingered was something less measurable but far more powerful. Sport has a remarkable way of stripping things back to the essentials: trust, effort and belief. It reminds us that motivation is rarely a solo pursuit, it is sparked by collective energy, sustained by a shared purpose and strengthened when we move in step with one another. For three unforgettable days, it was shared optimism, encouragement and celebration.
