Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled professional to join our technical team in Sri Lanka as a Senior Systems Engineer. This role requires proven expertise across Oracle, cloud infrastructure, Linux systems, and especially ERP applications such as IFS. You will be expected to take technical ownership, provide leadership in problem-solving, and ensure high availability of business-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, troubleshoot, optimise, and maintain IFS environments, ensuring platform stability, performance, availability, and operational reliability.
• Administer and support Oracle databases, including performance monitoring, troubleshooting, backup, recovery, and patching activities.
• Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux (including Ubuntu) and Windows-based servers and infrastructure supporting IFS and Oracle environments.
• Monitor and optimise ERP and infrastructure workloads using monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and related platforms.
• Act as a technical escalation point for complex technical issues related to IFS, middleware, integrations, databases, and infrastructure components.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing in IFS, Oracle, Linux, and Kubernetes technologies.
• Participate in shift-based operations to support 24×7 managed services coverage.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge base articles while maintaining effective communication with internal teams and customers.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, with 4–5 years of hands-on experience supporting IFS, Oracle databases, and enterprise infrastructure.
• Proven experience in supporting and troubleshooting IFS or other ERP applications in production environments, with strong exposure to Oracle databases, Linux/Windows servers,
• Kubernetes (AKS), Azure-hosted infrastructure, and platform operations.
• Strong knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and related platforms.
• Professional certification in Oracle or IFS is mandatory. Additional certifications in Azure, Kubernetes, Linux, or related cloud technologies will be considered an advantage.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, 24×7 managed services environment.
