IT Support Engineer – (UK Shift – Remote)

Role Overview

We are seeking an individual with strong Infrastructure Support and End User Support skills for the role of IT Support Engineer to join our dynamic technical team in Sri Lanka. This role requires to provide Infrastructure Support and Systems Administration Services on Network and Windows Server-related technologies. The selected candidate will be required to work remotely during UK business hours. Candidate should be willing to learn and be a good team player who enjoys working in the IT services industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide L1 & L2 IT support for end users across applications, devices, and infrastructure.
• Support and administer Microsoft 365 services including O365, SharePoint & OneDrive, Intune device management
• Deliver desktop, laptop, and application support ensuring minimal downtime.
• Monitor systems, endpoints, and services proactively to identify and resolve issues.
• Manage endpoint security, antivirus status, and device compliance.
• Perform monthly patching of servers and endpoints in line with security standards.
• Support the administration of internal business applications.
• Maintain IT asset and inventory records.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in IT Support engineering with a strong focus on Windows.
• In-depth knowledge of Windows Server (Active Directory, IIS, etc.)
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to work in the UK time zone
• Relevant certifications (e.g. Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator) are a plus.
