Business Development Representative (BDR) – Danish, Norwegian, or Swedish speaking

Role Overview
The Business Development Representative will deliver key sales support and lead market development for Platned. The candidate will be able to exhibit the knowledge and confidence needed to establish Platned as a potential prospect or current customer’s primary Business Solution Supplier. Additionally, we require this role to be filled by a BDR who is proficient in Danish, Norwegian, or Swedish, as this skill is essential for engaging with our Nordic markets effectively.
Responsibilities
- Lead development of all new prospects within assigned territory.
- Establish and maintain contact (mainly phone contact) with early-stage prospects until the prospect is handed over to the Sales Manager.
- Work through ‘Gatekeepers’ to gain access to the relevant person/s in the prospective organization.
- First responder to all new prospect leads generated by Marketing.
- Develop and enhance relationships with prospects throughout the lead development process.
- High level of communication, mostly via outbound calling, to engage prospects to further qualify as a valid sales opportunity.
- Conversion of prospect leads to pipeline.
- Keep accurate electronic records of calls and contacts and update prospect status within CRM.
- Ability to ask open-ended questions to uncover needs, learn more about the prospect, and better qualify.
- Maintain relationships with the target group of accounts.
- Regular contact with each sales rep to review target accounts and make necessary adjustments.
- Ability to execute micro campaigns within assigned territory to drive additional demand.
- Communicate internally the status of all pending and warm leads.
- Maintain and leverage the CRM database (Pipe Drive).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Previous experience in an early-stage business development role.
- Proven software telemarketing, inside sales, or software sales for enterprise accounts.
- Knowledge of IFS Applications or similar ERP applications such as Oracle, SAP, Info & etc , as they relate to targeted prospects and customer needs would be an advantage, but not essential.
- Self-starter and ability to work with minimal supervision (this will be a remote role unless you live close to Staten Island, NY).
- A natural curiosity and willingness to learn to gain and demonstrate a high level of understanding of IFS and IFS Applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specific emphasis on telephone skills in English.
- Experience with contact management applications, Excel, and Word.
