Product Designer / UX Designer (Sri Lanka)

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Product Designer/ UX Designer to help turn early-stage concepts and technical prototypes into a product experience customers can adopt, operate, and scale with confidence. You will own end-to-end product design across key workflows, partnering closely with Product and Engineering to ship outcomes, not just screens.

You will take end-to-end ownership of product design within a product development team, including building and maintaining the design system, and partnering closely with engineering from discovery through release.

Responsibilities

• Drive product design end-to-end, from discovery and problem framing to shipped UI and post-release uplift.
• Drive discovery, clarify the user problem, map journeys, identify moments that matter, and define success criteria.
• Simplify complex workflows through strong information architecture, interaction design, and clear visual hierarchy.
• Create and iterate low to high fidelity prototypes, validate with users, and refine based on evidence.
• Build and maintain the design system from the start, foundations, style definitions, component library, patterns, templates, usage guidance, plus contribution workflow with Engineering, ensuring product work reuses and extends the system.
• Where relevant, shape AI-enabled workflows and interaction patterns for AI assistance, ensuring experiences are safe, trustworthy, and predictable through clear user controls and feedback.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

• 5 plus years of strong product design experience on B2B, enterprise, or complex workflow products, with a portfolio showing context, trade-offs, and outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience building, maintaining, and evolving a design system, not only using one, including governance and adoption across product surfaces.
• Mastery of Figma system workflows, Auto Layout, Variables, Components, and Dev Mode, used for systemized delivery and reliable handoff.
• Experienced in utilizing AI to accelerate prototyping and visual exploration, for example rapid concept variations, interaction drafts, and design alternatives, while maintaining quality and intent.
• Strong UX fundamentals, interaction design, information architecture, usability, plus high craft in visual design and detail.
• Quality and consistency mindset, maintain procedural knowledge of the design system, existing patterns, and UX guidelines, use feedback loops to keep experiences coherent.
• Confident communicator, able to explain design decisions clearly to engineers and stakeholders.
• Experience in designing admin, governance, permissions, auditability, or reporting workflows.
• Accessibility experience, WCAG-informed design, keyboard and screen reader considerations.
• Experience designing across multiple interface types and workflow surfaces, web and mobile, plus other complex application experiences.
