Supporting education and
digital access
At Weralugahamula School, we have seen first-hand how new classrooms and a computer laboratory can open up opportunities for young people. They create space for learning, confidence and possibility. Being involved in their development has been a privilege for our teams.
Improving healthcare facilities
We have also supported community healthcare projects, including improvements to medical and dental facilities in Madampe. These environments matter greatly to families, and it has been humbling to contribute to places where care is given every day.
Fundraising and shared
challenges
Beyond building projects, our colleagues have taken part in fundraising initiatives such as the Pekoe Trail challenge, walking long distances across Sri Lanka to help raise awareness and funds for the Foundation’s work. These experiences bring together people from different organisations with a shared purpose and a deep respect for the communities they are supporting.

Recognition and continued support
We are grateful that Platned’s involvement has been recognised by the IFS Foundation community. In 2025, Platned was named the recipient of the IFS Foundation Partner Award, acknowledging our role as a long-term supporter and brand ambassador.
We are also thankful to continue supporting the Foundation’s fundraising initiatives, including returning as a sponsoring partner for the Coast to Coast 2026 challenge. Like the Pekoe Trail, these events bring together colleagues, partners and families to raise funds and awareness, while strengthening the sense of shared purpose that sits at the heart of the Foundation’s work.
