Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled professional to join our technical team in Sri Lanka as a Senior Systems Engineer. This role requires proven expertise across Oracle, cloud infrastructure, Linux systems, and particularly ERP applications such as IFS. You will be expected to take technical ownership, provide leadership in problem-solving, and ensure the high availability of business-critical systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead Oracle database management, including installation, setup, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, tuning, and backup strategies.
• Architect and oversee enterprise-grade cloud deployments on Azure and AWS.
• Act as a key technical lead in supporting IFS Cloud and IFS Applications 10, with hands-on involvement in troubleshooting and optimisation.
• Provide leadership in managing Linux-based infrastructure and resolving complex issues.
• Oversee containerised environments utilising Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and related technologies.
• Design and implement advanced monitoring solutions for ERP and system workloads using Prometheus and Grafana.
• Mentor junior engineers, ensuring ERP-specific knowledge is shared across the team.
• Participate in shift-based operations to maintain reliability in 24/7 coverage.
• Prepare and maintain clear documentation, and represent technical operations with strong communication skills.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 4–5 years’ hands-on experience in Oracle, Azure Cloud, AWS, Linux, AKS, and monitoring tools.
• Proven track record of supporting IFS or other ERP applications in a production environment.
• Professional certification in Oracle or IFS is mandatory. Additional certifications in Azure, AWS, or Linux will be considered an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills in English – both written and spoken.
• Ability to multitask, lead, and adapt in a fast-paced global operations environment.
