Role Overview

We seek an individual with strong Linux skills for the role of Linux System Administrator to provide Infrastructure Support and Systems Administration Services on Network and server-related technologies.

Candidates with knowledge or experience in IFS Applications will be given preference.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the setup, design and administration of Red Hat, Oracle Linux and Ubuntu Servers.
• Managing and Supporting Linux based Infrastructure.
• Ability to configure and deploy server builds.
• Daily system administration tasks & troubleshooting Linux based infrastructure issues.
• Identify opportunities to create and deploy automation frameworks and methodologies.
• Systems monitoring & performance tuning.
• Respond to System alerts from monitoring systems in a timely manner.
• On Call Support of servers & flexibility of hours on occasion for releases, upgrades, and maintenance windows.
• Diagnose and rectify OS and application configuration problems

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Strong proficiency with mainstream Linux distributions, such as Redhat, Oracle Linux, Ubuntu.
• Experience with Linux scripting, such as Shell, Perl, PHP.
• Experience in a Hosting environment such as Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Security best practices and remediation.
• Understanding of health/performance monitoring
• Sound analytical and troubleshooting skills, under pressure.
• Familiarity with fundamental networking/distributed computing environment concepts.
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced, global operations environment.
