Associate Systems Engineer/ Systems Engineer (Sri Lanka)

Role Overview

We are looking for talented, driven individuals to join our technical team in Sri Lanka. This is not a traditional IT support role—it requires a multi-disciplinary skillset across ERP systems, database administration, cloud platforms, and Linux-based infrastructure.

The position is open for two levels:

• Associate Systems Engineer – Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
• Systems Engineer – Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role.

Candidates with knowledge or experience in IFS Applications will be given preference.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimise Oracle databases, including installation, patching, performance tuning, and backups.
• Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure on Azure and AWS.
• Support and maintain Linux systems and perform OS-level troubleshooting.
• Manage containerised workloads using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and MicroK8s.
• Monitor infrastructure and services using Prometheus and Grafana.
• Collaborate with ERP consultants to support IFS Cloud and IFS Applications 10 environments.
• Participate in shift-based operations to ensure 24 x 7 support coverage.
• Maintain detailed documentation and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Associate Systems Engineer: Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience.
• Systems Engineer: Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Oracle, Linux, Azure, and AWS.
• Experience with containerization tools (AKS, MicroK8s) and cloud-native architectures.
• Exposure to ERP environments, especially IFS, is a strong advantage.
• Excellent command of English – both written and spoken – is mandatory.
• Professional certifications in Oracle, Azure, AWS, or Linux are preferred.
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced, global operations environment.
