Social Media Lead – UK

We do this by providing comprehensive solutions and IT consultancy to help them maximise their investment and achieve their business objectives.
Role Overview
As the Social Media Lead, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with our brand’s goals and objectives. You will manage all aspects of Platned’s social media. Including, but not limited to social media for campaigns, video, events and create content that resonates with our audience across various platforms. Your role will be crucial in enhancing our already thriving online presence, driving engagement, and fostering a strong online community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy development: Work with the Marketing Manager to create and implement a robust social media strategy that aligns with overall business goals and brand identity.
- Content creation: Oversee the development of engaging, high-quality content (including text, images, and video) tailored to each social media platform.
- Campaign management: Plan, execute, and monitor social media campaigns, ensuring they are aligned with marketing objectives and deliver measurable results.
- Analytics & reporting: Track and analyse performance metrics across all social media channels, providing regular reports to stakeholders and making data-driven decisions to optimise strategies.
- Community engagement: Foster and manage interactions with our online community, responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner.
- Brand advocacy: Act as Platned’s voice on social media, ensuring all content and interactions reflect our values and tone.
- Collaborative work: Work closely with other departments to ensure cohesive messaging across all platforms.
- Trend Monitoring: Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices, and leverage them to enhance our strategy.
- Copy writing: be confident in creating copy for both social and our website.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a social media management or lead role, preferably in the software sector.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok) and best practices.
- Excellent communication and copywriting skills.
- Experience with social media analytics tools (e.g., Buffer and Google Analytics) and the ability to interpret data.
- Creative thinking with the ability to develop innovative social media campaigns.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
